Q3ADE 3G R. 508c2 is officially released
August 2010
The Q3ADE 3G R. 508c2 is now
available for download.
UH Communications A/S (UHC) hereby officially releases the
version 5.08c2 of Q3ADE 3G, a versatile element and network management platform
including advanced integrated alarm management and incident/trouble ticket
management.
Amongst a long list of improvements, this release includes
the following:
The CISCO equipment monitor
The new CISCO equipment monitor enables access to the SNMP agent in CISCO
equipment supporting a number of CISCO specific information models. It provides
access to the CLI interface of CISCO equipment. You may invoke standard CLI
commands or enter your own. It also transforms standard CISCO event log traps
into Q3 Alarms.
The Alvarion/BreezeAccess monitor
This Alvarion/BreezeAccess monitor enables access to the SNMP agent of various
equipment from Alvarion (www.alvarion.com).
Automatic Alarm pre-processing by Incidents
The integration between the Incident Manager component (IMGR) and the Alarm
Manager (AMF) has been further improved. From an incident record, you may now
suppress the generation of alarms from a specific set of alarm sources for a
specific period of time or as long as the incident is open. You may for example
suppress irrelevant alarms during a repair activity. You may even raise an
incident in advance before a planned repair activity and have it suppress the
alarm generation from the affected equipment(s) for a specific period of time.
Integrated Database Mirror Function
The Q3ADE 3G server manages its own object oriented database. To be able to
perform fast crash recovery, the dabase manager has now been extended with a
database mirror function, which may be configured to maintain one or more
consistent copies of the database on a local file system or a remote file
server. The mirroring is performed on-the-fly, which means you do not have to
shutdown the Q3ADE 3G server to obtain a consistent database image.
Automatic archiving of alarms
To maintain a reasonable performace, you should remove old alarms from the
system if the alarm log contains in the excess of 100.000 alarms. A new
function, the AMF Archiver, has been added, which performs automatic archiving
of old alarms to a file in ASCII format. This function enables automatic
archiving of the alarms according to various criterias. You do not have to
shutdown the Q3ADE 3G server to perform the archiving process.
